Course Update

Well, the holidays are officially behind us and we are looking ahead to 2014.  The weather has been the big story lately.  Frigid temperatures and several rounds of light snow, and ice, have limited the amount of golf being played.  This recent weather pattern looks like it will change starting this weekend, and sunny, mild days are in the forecast for all of next week.  Once the weather warms enough, the staff will finally be able to change pin locations.  We've been on pin 5 for the past 2-3 weeks due to frozen soil in the greens.  You'll also notice Doug, our chemical applicator, working on the course as much as possible applying our spring pre-emergent.  Some other notable projects on the slate for the remainder of the winter: bunker renovations in #13 and #14, drainage project along #1 cart path, tree removals behind #12 green and right of #13 green, expansion of green surround behind #12 green, inspection/cleaning of all bunker and greens drainage.  The projects that will be completed over the next few months will enhance the playing conditions of the course, setting us up for a great 2014 season!
